Job Summary
Install and repair residential and commercial propane and oil burner equipment while performing efficiency tests, tune-ups, and contract service inspections. Troubleshoot heating systems in accordance with applicable codes and safety regulations, eliminating call-backs through accurate work execution. Promote company products by advising customers on best options and maintaining a neat service vehicle with organized tools and parts inventory. Immediately record labor and parts for service calls, report accidents or spills, and conduct propane gas-check inspections where required. Participate in night and weekend on-call schedules as necessary. Requires high school diploma, relevant apprenticeship or experience, and valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Apprentice, Journeyman or Master designation licensing
- Applicable propane CETP certification
- Valid motor vehicle drivers' license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical
- Participate in night and weekend on-call schedule as necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Technical school training
- Successfully completed oil burner training course
- CETP program completion
- At least one year of relevant oil and/or propane service experience
- Two or more years of relevant oil and/or propane service experience
