Job Summary
Assemble, disassemble, and modify mechanical equipment using engineering drawings and field sketches. Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on HVAC facility equipment while responding promptly to breakdown calls to troubleshoot and repair problems. Conduct breakdown analysis to create action plans addressing root causes and minimize production downtime. Follow all safety regulations, maintain shop cleanliness, and work at heights up to 40 feet using scissor lifts and ladders. This unionized day shift position in Kitchener offers $42.70/hour and requires a valid 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic Ontario licence.
Required Qualifications
- Valid 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic Ontario licence
- 2–5 years of relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience reading and troubleshooting electrical diagrams and schematics
- Creative problem-solving, job task planning, organization, and continuous learning skills
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 40 lbs safely
- Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet using scissor lifts and ladders
- Ability to work in high- or low-temperature areas when required
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Flexibility to accommodate business requirements, including weekends

- 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), 442A Industrial Electrician, or Gas tickets
