Job Summary
HVAC/R Technician responsible for routine service and installation of HVAC/R activities for industrial and commercial customers, performing assigned tasks on or off site with limited supervision. Leads or participates in team-based HVAC/R service or installation jobs, supports non-service HVAC/R activities, and may conduct after-hours on-call duties. Requires post-high school HVAC/R training, 3+ years of full-time HVAC/R experience, EPA refrigerant handling certification, and active RSES membership. Must read and apply manufacturers' instructions, communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, and operate company vehicles. Ability to diagnose and correct refrigeration, electrical, heating, and air conditioning system problems, with physical ability to perform required tasks and travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate; graduate of a post-high school HVAC/R institution of two or more years in duration
- Three or more years of successful and full-time HVAC/R experience
- Current refrigerant handling certification approved by the US Environmental Protection Agency
- Active member of RSES pursuing certificate member status
- Current and unblemished State vehicle operator's license; ability to operate all vehicles in the company fleet safely
- Ability to diagnose and correct service problems regarding refrigeration, electrical, heating and air conditioning systems
