Job Summary
HVAC Technician role performing maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. Responsibilities include installing new units or replacement parts per specifications, conducting preventive maintenance per manufacturer schedules, and responding to building emergencies. Requires 3-5 years HVAC experience, High School diploma or equivalent, and EPA Universal Certification. Must operate hand and power tools, read digital meters, understand basic electrical wiring, and work at heights. Candidate should be able to work effectively in a highly integrated team, maintain equipment logs, and communicate well with customers and building staff. Physical duties include lifting 25-100 pounds and working outdoors; background check and drug test required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years HVAC experience
- EPA Universal Certification
- Ability to operate hand and power tools and read digital meters and voltage testers
- Understand basic electrical and wiring in a commercial building setting
- Must be able to work at heights (lifts, scaffolding, ladders)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Regularly lift/move up to 25-100 pounds; outdoors and indoors work
- Pass a background check and drug test
- Prior work experience in an industrial environment is a plus
