Job Summary
Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including troubleshooting malfunctions and installing replacement equipment per manufacturer specifications. Analyze data to verify equipment function and provide recommendations while maintaining accurate service logs, timesheets, and purchase card documentation. Follow all electrical safety standards, including training and coaching apprentices and co-workers, and conduct group meetings as a team leader. Read blueprints, technical schematics, and specification manuals to execute repairs and maintain compliance with EPA and OSHA requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 5 - 10 years HVAC experience working on commercial or industrial HVAC equipment /systems
- High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent, HVAC Apprenticeship Program
- EPA universal refrigeration license
- OSHA 30
- FDNY Fire Watch and Burning Permits
- Clean Drivers License
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations
- Knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems
- Basic mathematical abilities in all units of measure
- Ability to read blue prints and technical schematics as well as specification manuals
- Must be well organized to keep accurate service and maintenance records
- Must communicate effectively to determine needs
- Must follow all electrical safety standards and procedures
- Must be able to train and coach apprentices and co-workers
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds occasionally
