Job Summary
Execute daily preventive maintenance and minor repairs on commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, air handlers, and cooling towers, while traveling to multiple service sites. Complete PM checklists in Maximo, upload documentation, and coordinate access with customer points of contact. Perform low-voltage wiring, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and manage refrigerant operations using EPA 608 certification. Maintain parts inventory and balance airflow to ensure reliable indoor air quality. Submit findings reports to project and quality managers and assist in regional activity coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to pass an extensive background check
- Must have a valid driver's license and transportation
- Should own the basic tools needed to perform maintenance on the equipment
- High school education or equivalent
- Must be able to pass drug screening
- 5-10 years of experience maintaining and repairing HVAC equipment
- EPA 608 Certification for refrigerant (Type 1 and Type 2)
- Knowledge of multiple types of HVAC systems
- Good mechanical/electrical/plumbing skills as related to HVAC equipment
- Ability to lift and carry weights up to 75 lbs
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Ability to travel daily within the Designated area
Desired Qualifications
- 10-15 years of experience maintaining and repairing HVAC equipment
- Experience with maintaining multiple locations
- EPA 608 Certification for refrigerant (Universal)
- Controls Knowledge a plus
