Job Summary
Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC and hydronic heating system issues while performing repairs, maintenance, and equipment replacements. Evaluate system conditions to recommend solutions, obtain customer approvals, and service VRF/VRV systems alongside Building Management and Automation Systems. Respond to service calls and drive to client sites throughout Brooklyn to maintain professional, customer-focused interactions while completing work safely and efficiently. Remain calm under pressure during urgent situations. EPA and FDNY certifications, plus five years of hands-on experience with hydronic systems and VRF/VRV technology, are required.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional HVAC experience
- Strong hands-on experience with hydronic heating systems
- Proven experience with VRF and VRV systems
- Experience working with BMS/BAS systems
- EPA certification
- FDNY certification
- Valid, clean driver's license
- Ability and willingness to travel to client locations throughout Brooklyn
- Strong English communication skills
- Professional, respectful, and trustworthy demeanor
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
