HVAC Technical Specialist

Job Summary

Oversee all aspects of HVAC technical training and support within the region by investigating, analyzing, and diagnosing field technical issues to resolve claims with manufacturers. Travel throughout the large geographic territory to advise customers on complex HVAC system performance and provide consultation. Deliver comprehensive product support training, updates, and inventory assistance to Profit Centers while supporting sales efforts through coaching and evaluation. Manage customer contacts and relationships to build support and increase overall satisfaction, maintaining alignment with Profit Center Managers and sales staff. Safeguard company assets including business planning, customer information, and confidential manufacturer data. Maintain current technical knowledge by reviewing bulletins and attending industry training, ensuring all business is conducted in accordance with company policy and required safety compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical experience in HVAC systems
  • Possess a proper and valid driver's license
  • Applicable HVAC certifications

Desired Qualifications

  • Be able to diagnose and analyze HVAC equipment, installation and application according to the manufacturer's installation documentation
  • Have experience training others on HVAC systems
  • Effectively use Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel) to communicate via email, to maintain appointment and customer contact files, and to analyze performance data
  • Demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication, and generous listening skills
  • Be organized, a self-starter, and detail oriented
  • Be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers
  • Be able to learn and operate the computer related systems used to create and submit quotation packages and create orders
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
