HVAC Sheet Metal Superintendent

Job Summary
Lead and supervise all HVAC and sheet metal field operations, including ductwork fabrication, installation, and equipment setting. Coordinate daily activities of field crews, subcontractors, and trade partners to maintain project schedules while planning labor, equipment, and material needs. Monitor workmanship for compliance with SMACNA standards, enforce OSHA regulations, and support system startup, testing, balancing, and commissioning activities. Identify and resolve field issues related to scheduling, coordination, and trade conflicts. Maintain accurate daily reports and production tracking. Primarily field-based with occasional overnight travel; requires OSHA 30 certification and 7+ years of industrial HVAC experience. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- OSHA 30 Certification
- 7+ years of experience in industrial HVAC and sheet metal construction
- 3+ years of experience leading field operations as a Superintendent or Foreman
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork fabrication, installation methods, and SMACNA standards
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to quality, safety, and delivering exceptional project results
- Primarily field-based on active industrial and commercial construction sites
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, navigate scaffolding, and work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and elevated areas
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather and construction site conditions
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Travel between project sites with occasional overnight travel as project needs require
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification preferred for refrigerant oversight
- Experience with Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar construction management software preferred
- Experience with mission-critical, industrial, or data center mechanical systems is highly preferred
