Job Summary
Fabricate, assemble, and install commercial HVAC sheet metal systems by reading blueprints, laying out materials, and operating fabrication equipment such as shears and brakes. Coordinate with supervisors and trades while maintaining required Connecticut SM2 Sheet Metal License and trade certifications. Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and physical demands including lifting up to 100 lbs in confined or elevated spaces. Train apprentices as needed and perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Connecticut SM2 Sheet Metal License required
- Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC sheet metal experience
- Valid driver's license
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk
- Ability to bend
- Ability to kneel
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to work in confined or elevated spaces
- Ability to safely perform physically demanding work in commercial construction environments
