Job Summary
The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for ensuring proper operation and performance of residential heating and air conditioning systems. Key duties include diagnosing malfunctions, repairing HVAC systems, maintaining tools and supplies, managing repair costs, and maintaining appropriate inventory of parts. Candidates must have strong experience in HVAC, a valid driver’s license, and universal certification for refrigerants. Physical demands of the role require lifting up to 15 pounds and proficiency in English communication.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Universal Certification for recovery and installation of refrigerants
- Valid Driver’s License
- At least 5 years field experience in heating and air conditioning or 2 years educational experience with at least 2 years field technical experience
Desired Qualifications
- Strong HVAC Experience in Residential Areas
- Light Electrical (schematics)
- Demonstrated knowledge and competency in operation, service and use of a variety of HVAC systems, equipment and related components
- Ability to speak, read, and write English in a proficient manner
- Familiarity with electronic equipment for queries and accurate data entry
