Job Summary
HVAC Service Technician – Manufacturers Rep in the Greater Kelowna area. Responsibilities include equipment startup and commissioning, completing start-up reports for the sales project manager, on-site owner training for equipment sold, assisting Sales with equipment troubleshooting, attending vendor training (local office or vendor location) with travel required, attending meetings, maintaining consistent and timely communication with customers, identifying sales opportunities on projects during service work and coordinating with Sales for follow-up, and performing other duties as assigned. Ideal candidate will have Journeyman refrigeration/HVAC with Class A or B gas fitter certification, at least five years of related HVAC experience, ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and control sequences, travel capability, passport, valid driver’s license, and strong interpersonal/teamwork skills; proficient in Microsoft Office products.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman refrigeration/HVAC technician with Class A OR B gas fitter certification
- Minimum of five years of directly related HVAC technician experience
- Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and control sequences relevant to modern HVAC equipment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and on a multi-site team
- Valid passport and ability to travel within Canada and to the United States
- Valid Driver’s License with clean abstract
- Strong relationship-building skills, especially under high-stress situations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
