Job Summary
Commercial HVAC Service Technician sought to perform equipment start-up, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and post-installation troubleshooting for commercial/industrial HVAC systems in the Vancouver area (Vancouver and Vancouver Island). Role involves diagnosing HVAC issues (electrical faults, refrigerant leaks, airflow imbalances), verifying control systems and safety devices, coordinating with project managers and installation teams, documenting service work and test results, and communicating system performance and improvement recommendations to customers. Requires 2+ years of experience, reading wiring diagrams/schematics, strong customer service, valid driver’s license, and ability to travel up to 15% (overnight travel possible) within greater Vancouver, BC. Emphasizes safety compliance, ongoing training, and a focus on system reliability and energy efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of commercial HVAC service or maintenance experience
- Gas Ticket or REF Ticket preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and post-installation troubleshooting
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer specifications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to work in diverse environments (rooftops, mechanical rooms, outdoor conditions)
