Job Summary
The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, modifying, and repairing heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems to ensure they operate at peak efficiency and conserve energy. Key responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctioning systems, inspecting electrical systems for hazards, providing preliminary sketches and cost estimates, and performing installations of mechanical systems. Candidates must have EPA 608 certification, a degree or trades school certification, and three to five years of related experience.
Required Qualifications
- EPA 608 Certified
- Degree or Trades School certification in related field
- Three to five years of related experience
- Ability to troubleshoot single & three phase installations
- Must have clean driving record (No more than 3 points in 12 months)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient with testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes
- Strong background in HVAC and refrigeration equipment
- Experience with energy management systems
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to lift to 45 pounds at times
- Prolonged periods standing, crawling, climbing
