Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and install residential and commercial HVAC equipment, including duct work and low voltage wiring. Perform preventative maintenance, start-ups, and line installation while working in confined spaces like attics and under houses. Maintain the company vehicle, ensure safe work areas, and follow safety protocols when interacting with homeowners or guests. Collaborate with coworkers and adhere to HVAC Service Manager direction. Maintain a valid driver's license and refrigerant type 2 certification. Work Monday through Friday with flexibility for weekends, holidays, after-hours calls, and overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Be knowledgeable or have the willingness to learn new skills
- Experience in residential and light commercial HVAC systems
- Refrigerant certified (minimum type 2)
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, twist, and bend for extended periods of time
- Lift and carry material weighing up to 75 lbs.; occasionally lifting items weighing more than 100 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to climb and utilize a ladder safely
- Good physical fitness: hand-eye coordination and ability to quickly respond to sounds
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, including outdoors in times of excessive heat and inclement weather
- Must have the flexibility to work weekend, holidays, and after hours when required
- Willing to work overtime when the situation arises
- Take part in the on-call rotation for nights and weekends
