HVAC Service Technician

Job Summary
Support installation projects, execute preventative maintenance work plans, and respond to service calls to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment. Diagnose and repair system problems, including VRF systems, while maintaining inventory and purchasing materials as required. Provide direction to subcontractors when needed and interface with building personnel to ensure client satisfaction. Accurately document all work performed on trouble tickets or work orders. This role requires a State HVAC License (Journeyman or Masters preferred) and ten to fifteen years of commercial experience. On-call rotation averages four weeks per year, with hours Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Required Qualifications
- State HVAC License Journeyman or Masters preferred, but not required based upon previous experience
- Universal CFC Certification Required
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years commercial experience preferred. Minimum of ten (10) years of related experience with HVAC systems
- Strong electrical trouble shooting skills to perform the following; connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls, and ventilation fans to starter panels and/or VFD's
- Able to lift up to sixty (60) pounds
- Capable of ascending ladders up to a height of thirty (30) feet
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- VRF diagnosis and repair a plus
- Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years commercial experience preferred
- Ten (10) years of related experience with HVAC systems
- Speak to your experience with any of the following equipment: CRAC Units, RTU's, Split System AC and HP's, VRF's, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Boilers, Gas and Oil Fired, AHU's, VAV Systems, Chill Water, Condenser Water, Hot Water Systems and Hi/Low Pressure Steam Systems
