Job Summary
Maintain HVAC equipment in sound operating condition by diagnosing and repairing system problems as assigned, including VRF diagnosis and repair. Support installation projects, preventative maintenance work plans, and respond to calls to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Provide direction to sub-contractors when needed, interface with building personnel to ensure client satisfaction, and accurately document work on trouble tickets. Purchase materials and maintain inventory for timely completion. Requires a State HVAC License (Journeyman or Masters preferred), Universal CFC certification, and valid driver's license. Ten to fifteen years of commercial experience is preferred. On-call rotation averages four weeks per year.
Required Qualifications
- State HVAC License Journeyman or Masters preferred, but not required based upon previous experience
- Universal CFC Certification Required
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years commercial experience preferred. Minimum of ten (10) years of related experience with HVAC systems
- Strong electrical trouble shooting skills to perform the following; connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls, and ventilation fans to starter panels and/or VFD's
- Able to lift up to sixty (60) pounds
- Capable of ascending ladders up to a height of thirty (30) feet
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- VRF diagnosis and repair a plus
- Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years commercial experience preferred
- Speak to your experience with any of the following equipment: CRAC Units, RTU's, Split System AC and HP's, VRF's, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Boilers, Gas and Oil Fired, AHU's, VAV Systems, Chill Water, Condenser Water, Hot Water Systems and Hi/Low Pressure Steam Systems
