Job Summary
HVAC Service Technician responsible for maintenance and repairs on residential heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems per company standards; install and commission systems, review specifications with customers, explain product options, set up systems (including pumps and air ducts), perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct performance tests; provide feedback to Service Manager on training needs and inventory/pricing; may sell maintenance contracts to customers.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years service experience
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
- Familiar with a wide range of equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Experience making repair and replace decisions
- Knowledge of basic sheet metal practices
- Knowledge of air balancing principles and techniques
- EPA Certification required
- Certificate of completion from HVAC Technical School desired
