Job Summary
Respond to residential HVAC service calls by diagnosing system issues, troubleshooting repairs, and maintaining equipment per manufacturer specifications. Educate homeowners on performance and repair options, obtain approval for recommendations, and document completed work while collecting payment. Perform preventative maintenance, install or replace systems, and execute refrigeration line set tasks including brazing and pressure testing. Ensure all work meets safety standards and local codes, maintain company tools and inventory, and identify upgrade opportunities for customers. Participate in ongoing technical training and uphold company values in every interaction.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of residential HVAC service experience, including diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of residential heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as business needs require
Desired Qualifications
- EPA Certification
- NATE Certification or other HVAC industry certifications
- Experience installing and replacing residential HVAC equipment
- Experience promoting maintenance agreements and system replacement options
