Job Summary
Service commercial heating and cooling systems by performing repairs, overhauls, start-ups, and preventative maintenance on boilers, forced air, and hydronic units. Diagnose equipment failures by following blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering specifications while coordinating on-site materials and installations. Maintain vehicles, document job paperwork, and provide technical support to customers. Work in varying temperatures and confined spaces using heavy machinery and power tools across multiple job sites.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in commercial HVAC industry or residential field; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
- Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of basic electricity, electrical and control systems
- Ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints, specifications, and schematics
- Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen, and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history)
- Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
- Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned
- Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- HVAC Journeyman/Master certification
- Prior military experience
- HS diploma or GED equivalent
