Job Summary
Diagnose HVAC air handlers and condensers on service calls for multi-family and light commercial properties, performing on-site repairs and compressor changeouts. Input service notes and photos into the field service application while coordinating with the Project Manager to order parts. Communicate with property management and maintain accurate inventory counts by keeping the work vehicle stocked with appropriate parts. Requires a valid Texas Driver's License, EPA certification, and 3+ years of HVAC experience. Climbing, walking, and medium physical exertion are essential, including exposure to extreme temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of previous experience in HVAC
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- EPA certification
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Basic computer/tablet knowledge
- Low voltage troubleshooting
- Conventional HVAC system changeout knowledge
- Compressor changeouts
- Climbing: Ascending or descending stairs
- Capable of working on rooftops
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another
- Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Subject to outside environmental conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat for extended periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- VRF, mini split package units training or experience
- Experience diagnosing HVAC issues in multi-family apartment buildings
