HVAC Service Manager

Job Summary
Respond to incoming service requests via phone, email, or communication platforms and dispatch technicians, vehicles, and materials based on workload. Create and manage daily and on-call schedules, estimate costs, and generate billing while processing work orders and coordinating with admin staff for permitting. Conduct field audits to support performance, communicate with homeowners and contractors, and track payments and outstanding receivables. Lead weekly jobsite meetings, manage subcontractors, and interpret layout drawings using 2D tools or Bluebeam. Monitor project profit and loss, ensure code compliance, and coordinate emergency responses. Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm, with flexibility required for changing job assignments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Valid driver's license
- Strong knowledge of electrical drawings and applicable codes
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, service platforms)
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities
- Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) and commercial code applications
- Must be able to sit at a desk and/or computer for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- MUST be willing to be flexible as jobs may change
Desired Qualifications
- Trade licenses or certifications (e.g., fire alarm, low voltage, EPA)
- 10+ years of experience in residential and/or commercial electrical construction
- Experienced in RFIs, submittals, layout drawings, and job costing
- Experience managing commercial service projects from $10,000 to $500,000+
