HVAC Service Engineer

Job Summary
Conduct accurate, timely, and high-quality servicing for contract maintenance customers, identifying and replacing spares to restore equipment performance. Perform airflow measurements, system upgrades, and refurbishments at customer premises or in the Return to Works facility, while providing clear technical service reports and health and safety documentation to the internal After Sales Support team. Manage contract customers within your geographic area, seek new servicing opportunities, and monitor competitive activity. Maintain FGAS certification and relevant engineering qualifications, ensuring all statutory and company health and safety requirements are met. Work independently to maximize service time while contributing positively to team initiatives and training programs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years field servicing experience of engineering capital equipment (E)
- FGAS certified
- Computer Literacy (word, excel, lotus, application software)
- Experience and Knowledge of the HVAC Industry
- Experience of generating accurate assessments of electrical and mechanical component fault diagnosis on engineered capital equipment
- Ability to prepare clear quantification of size and impact of failure to effect remedial action
- Experience of presenting technical service reports in customer friendly languages/styles
- Knowledge of reporting techniques required to regularly update After Sales Support Team with servicing activity reports in their geographic region
- Knowledge and experience of calculating airflow and moisture content measurements
- Good working knowledge of air handling techniques
- Experience and ability to demonstrate relationship building skills
- HNC/HND or higher in a relevant Engineering qualification
