Job Summary
HVAC Safety Technician, entry-level role supporting HVAC Department with life-safety focus in HVAC systems; duties include complying with OSHA/building codes, overseeing lockout/tagout, PPE usage, handling and disposal of hazardous refrigerants per EPA standards, inspecting ventilation around flammable gases/dust, identifying and mitigating hazards, investigating on-site incidents, providing HVAC team training on hazardous material handling and safety procedures, and ordering/maintaining parts; requires ability to work in PPE and physical mobility, with full-time 40 hours/week and no relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to complete company-provided training
- Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check
- No minimum education requirements
- Entry level experience in HVAC safety
