HVAC/Refrigeration Technician (Field Based)

Job Summary
Service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a range of equipment, including chillers, air handling units, pumps, and air conditioning systems. Prepare equipment for hire and transfer, ensuring it is tested, compliant, and available on time to meet customer requirements. Carry out routine depot servicing, support inventory management, and coordinate with suppliers and procurement to maintain stock levels. Champion high standards of safety, quality, and service delivery, ensuring compliance with all QHSE procedures and regulations. Provide technical expertise to colleagues and customers, support apprentice development, and expand into specialist equipment such as compressors, steam generators, heaters, and boilers.
Required Qualifications
- City & Guilds, ONC Level 3, or equivalent engineering qualification
- F-Gas certified
- CITB Brazing qualification
- Strong fault-finding skills
- Sound technical knowledge of HVAC or temperature control equipment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proficient in general PC-based systems
- Well organised
- Customer-focused
- Able to manage expectations effectively in a fast-paced environment
