HVAC / Refrigerant Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance on process and utility chillers, HVAC systems, exhaust fans, and laboratory hoods, including seasonal servicing. Troubleshoot, repair, and improve chiller and HVAC equipment while supporting emergency response during on-call rotations. Support predictive maintenance initiatives by utilizing technologies such as vibration analysis and eddy current testing to improve equipment reliability. Partner with operations, engineering, and external contractors to coordinate equipment downtime and implement continuous improvements. This role supports the entire manufacturing site at Clinton, IN, with an initial four 10-hour shift period before transitioning to a rotating 12-hour schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Mechanical aptitude
- experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial HVAC and chiller systems
- HVAC/chiller maintenance and repair

- Current EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification or the ability to obtain certification
Desired Qualifications
- Associate Degree or technical/vocational training in refrigeration or a related field
- Associate Degree in Refrigeration, HVAC, or a related technical discipline
- Experience with industrial process chillers, utility systems, and commercial HVAC equipment
- Experience supporting predictive maintenance programs, including vibration analysis and eddy current testing
- Knowledge of continuous improvement practices and equipment reliability initiatives
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams while maintaining composure in fast-paced or emergency situations
