Job Summary
Perform routine HVAC/R service and installation activities with limited or no supervision on or off site, diagnosing and correcting problems in refrigeration, electrical, heating, and air conditioning systems. As assigned, lead company teams addressing major service or installation jobs efficiently and conduct non-service work supporting broader company activities. Operate and maintain company vehicles while adhering to safety habits and working primarily in customer locations with occasional overnight travel or extended periods away from home. Conduct periodic on-call after-hours duty as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate
- graduate of a post-high school HVAC/R institution of two or more years in duration
- Three or more years of successful and full-time HVAC/R experience
- preferably as a service or installation technician
- Good writing, verbal, and reading skills
- ability to read and apply manufactures' instructions
- Ability to clearly communicate with customers, management, suppliers and co workers
- Physical and sensory ability to perform the duties noted above under the conditions and extremes found in the day to day operations of the company
- Active member of RSES
- pursuing certificate member status
- Current refrigerant handling certification approved by the US Environmental Protection Agency
- Requirement to maintain personal HVAC/R skills and knowledge through a combination of self-study, company training, or manufactures' workshops
- Current and unblemished State vehicle operator's license
- ability to operate all vehicles in the company fleet safely after proper instruction and training
