Job Summary
Perform routine HVAC/R service and installation activities for industrial and commercial customers with limited supervision. Lead or support company teams addressing major service and installation jobs efficiently. Operate, maintain, and secure company vehicles while conducting non-service work as assigned. Fulfill periodic on-call after-hours duty and diagnose and correct refrigeration, electrical, heating, and air conditioning system problems. Requires current refrigerant handling certification, RSES membership pursuit, and ability to work in adverse weather with occasional overnight travel.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate
- graduate of a post-high school HVAC/R institution of two or more years in duration
- Three or more years of successful and full-time HVAC/R experience
- preferably as a service or installation technician
- Good writing, verbal, and reading skills
- ability to read and apply manufactures' instructions
- Ability to clearly communicate with customers, management, suppliers and co workers
- Physical and sensory ability to perform the duties noted above under the conditions and extremes found in the day to day operations of the company
- Active member of RSES
- pursuing certificate member status
- Current refrigerant handling certification approved by the US Environmental Protection Agency
- Requirement to maintain personal HVAC/R skills and knowledge through a combination of self-study, company training, or manufactures' workshops
- Current and unblemished State vehicle operator's license
- ability to operate all vehicles in the company fleet safely after proper instruction and training
