Job Summary
Perform routine repairs to pump seals and bearings while inspecting systems to verify compliance with plans and detect malfunctions. Determine customer concerns with HVAC and boiler systems, then adjust controls to manufacturer recommendations to balance the system. Install auxiliary components such as expansion valves and air ducts following blueprints, and fabricate or assemble duct work using welding equipment. Record faults, deficiencies, and time expended on work orders while maintaining a clean work area and adhering to safety procedures. This role requires 3+ years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience and EPA certification, with a schedule based out of Lake Charles covering surrounding counties.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience
- Universally EPA Certified
- Ability to troubleshoot HVAC components with built up systems and package units, which may include chiller air handler pump towers, cooling towers, control systems, boilers and air handling systems
- Ability to learn commercial expertise in boilers, chillers, pneumatic controls, digital controls and packaged HVAC equipment
- Ability to read electronic schematics
- High School diploma/GED required + equivalent work experience
