HVAC Punchout Mechanic

Job Summary
Inspect, test, and troubleshoot HVAC installations at residential project sites to verify compliance with design specifications and quality standards; identify and resolve deficiencies before project handover; coordinate punchout activities with foremen and other trades to maintain project timelines; ensure HVAC systems meet regulatory requirements and client expectations; requires high school diploma or equivalent with 2–3 years of hands-on HVAC experience; EPA 608 preferred; building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC controls experience; familiarity with OSHA standards; additional certifications such as NATE are advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of vocational school and/or apprenticeship preferred
- Minimum of 2 or 3 years of hands-on experience in HVAC installation and repairs
- EPA Section 608 certification (preferred)
- Experience with BAS and HVAC controls (preferred)
- Familiarity with OSHA standards (preferred)
- NATE Certification (advantageous)
- Use all types of HVAC tools
- Identify and repair problems in non-working systems & duct work
