Job Summary
HVAC Project Manager overseeing construction within the Facilities Operations group. Responsibilities include construction oversight to ensure safety and no impact to manufacturing processes, managing construction within operations, reading and interpreting plans/specs, generating schedules with scheduling software (Microsoft Projects and Primavera), and using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint). Role emphasizes ensuring safety policies are followed, maintaining project quality per department specifications, monitoring backlogs and schedules, estimating and budgeting costs, and reviewing subcontractor/vendor quotes. Requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, 5+ years in facilities/mechanical/chemical design and construction (HVAC/Exhaust systems preferred), PMP, PE license, experience with federally funded contracts, and experience managing construction/engineering projects. Base salary range is $76k-$145k with comprehensive benefits and total rewards. All positions are full-time on-site at Samsung Austin Semiconductor.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in facilities, mechanical systems, and chemical systems design and construction
- Experience with HVAC/Exhaust systems
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Professional Engineering (PE) License
- Experience with federally funded contracts within a commercial organization
- Experience in construction and engineering project management
- Experience in delegation, tasking, tracking, and reporting of tasks/projects
