Job Summary
Lead HVAC system design from concept through construction administration, performing engineering calculations, equipment selection, and construction document preparation using AutoCAD and Revit. Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and internal disciplines while managing project schedules, budgets, and technical quality. Participate in client meetings, design reviews, site visits, and field surveys to review submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineering staff while ensuring designs comply with building codes and client requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- 5–10+ years of HVAC/Mechanical Engineering experience in a consulting engineering environment
- Strong experience designing HVAC systems for commercial, institutional, healthcare, or industrial building types
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience with HVAC load calculations and equipment sizing
- Experience managing projects and serving as the primary engineering contact for clients
- Experience supporting construction administration, RFIs, submittals, and site observations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
