Job Summary

Plan, direct, and coordinate all phases of commercial HVAC construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards. Develop project schedules, budgets, and manpower plans while monitoring financial performance through job cost tracking and forecasting. Manage documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and purchase orders, serving as the primary contact for owners, general contractors, and subcontractors. Coordinate activities with Operations, Estimating, and Field Leadership teams, lead progress meetings, and review mechanical drawings for accuracy. Supervise field personnel, manage subcontractor performance, and ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and quality control processes. Respond quickly to changing project needs and priorities.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of HVAC Project Management experience
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial HVAC Project Management experience
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education, trade experience, and project management experience will be considered
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including: Sheet metal, Mechanical piping, Plumbing coordination, Building automation systems, Equipment installation and startup
  • Proven ability to manage multiple HVAC construction projects simultaneously
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and project profitability analysis
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to effectively manage subcontractors, field personnel, vendors, and customer expectations
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in fast-paced construction environments
  • Thorough understanding of construction contracts, drawings, specifications, and scheduling practices
  • Proficiency with various software
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans, specifications, shop drawings, and construction documents
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience managing commercial mechanical construction projects ranging from tenant improvements to large-scale ground-up projects preferred
  • Demonstrated success managing project budgets, schedules, contract administration, and client relationships
  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred
  • PMP Certification is a plus
