HVAC Programmer

Job Summary
Set up processes for HVAC programming and virtual points, collaborating with engineers to produce controller and graphical software. Incorporate third-party software into Environmental Control Automation Systems, configure networking for workstations, and establish test systems to validate programming before field release. Create functional test checkout sheets, provide technical support during system installation, and recommend improvements for system reliability. Deliver onsite assistance for functional testing at critical facilities while managing administrative duties such as expense reports, vendor quotes, and weekly reports.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience programming HVAC controls
- 3+ years of experience with HVAC, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical systems and/or control systems
- Must be available to work extended hours and weekends when needed, based on site operational needs; flexibility is required
- Ability to provide on-call support in emergency situations
- Occasional travel may be required based on specific projects; travel requirement is up to 15%
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- 1+ years of vocational technical training preferred
- Specialized skill training/certification
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- 4+ years Johnson Controls, Andover Controls, or Siemens Controls
- Detail oriented, organized, and demonstrates a high sense of urgency
- Ability to work autonomously
