HVAC Product Design Engineer (Level 2)

Job Summary
Design, analyze, and document HVAC products and components; create, revise, and sustain product designs while following engineering specifications. Develop and manage project schedules for new and existing designs; perform tolerance, thermodynamic, finite element, and CFD analyses to validate designs. Document designs with bills of materials, cost analyses, drawings, and engineering change requests. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues, drive continuous improvement, and support product launches. Improve efficiency and reduce cost through redesigns, problem solving, and root-cause analysis. Communicate effectively and contribute to cross-functional teams to deliver on-time outcomes within budget.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in HVAC manufacturing environment (preferred)
- 2+ years product design experience in HVAC/appliance/automotive (preferred)
- Strong mechanical design theory knowledge
- Experience with DFSS/DFMEA/DOE methods (preferred)
- CAD experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and project management skills
- Ability to work with vendors and cross-functional teams
- Ability to perform essential responsibilities with/without accommodations
