HVAC Mechanical and Controls Supervisor

Job Summary
Conduct supervisory duties by interviewing, hiring, training, and scheduling HVAC team members while planning and directing daily work. Maintain, diagnose, service, and repair all HVAC equipment and control systems, including heat pumps, chillers, and boilers, while monitoring systems via building automation software to ensure guest comfort and efficiency. Implement preventive maintenance programs, manage parts inventory, and respond to emergency after-hours calls on a rotating schedule. Work with vendors to redesign control systems and prepare maintenance logs in full compliance with internal policies.
Required Qualifications
- Four years of HVAC experience
- formal technical training or completion of an apprenticeship in HVAC and Refrigeration trades
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- The ability to operate a personal computer
- The ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds occasionally, with assistance
- The ability to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with HVAC devices such as variable air volume boxes, air and water cooled chillers and related systems, and/or Energy Wheel Recovery technology
- The ability to achieve and maintain a boiler operator's license
- Experience with building automation systems, preferably Niagara AX Framework and/or Trane Tracer Summit
