Job Summary
Conduct major and routine maintenance, service, repair, and installations on all heating and ventilating equipment and controls. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and diagnostic system checks while troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, including chiller operation and steam boiler management. Operate machine shop tools to braze or solder items for fabrication and repair, and maintain calibrated controls and Building Automation Systems. Respond to alarms, perform emergency shutdown procedures, and execute on-call duties as required. Complete all documentation, work orders, and manhour reports while ensuring safe passage in public areas.
Required Qualifications
- S-1 License in the State of CT
- 3-5 years of experience
- Proficient in chiller operation and repair
- ability to trouble shoot electrical and mechanical systems
- Proficient steam boiler and pressure vessel operator
- Principles of boiler design
- General operation practices
- Effects of water treatment
- Inspection requirements
- Emergency shutdown procedures
- Journeyman HVAC license
- Five years experience in commercial HVAC
- Troubleshoot utilizing developed analytical skills
- valid state driver's license
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
