HVAC Mechanic Licensed

HVAC Mechanic performs building and equipment maintenance and repair with a focus on corrective needs of HVAC systems in assigned facilities. The role ensures systems are working properly and in compliance with applicable regulations. Core duties include maintaining work areas and clean facilities, responding to repair requests, keeping daily logs, cleaning and maintaining equipment, repairing plumbing on roofs and ceilings, advising management of risk factors and repair needs beyond the mechanic’s ability, maintaining records of preventive maintenance, testing and evaluating equipment performance, inspecting air conditioning and heating systems, and adhering to university policies and procedures. Strong teamwork, communication, and technical proficiency are required to support maintenance and regulatory compliance across facilities. This is a full-time staff role at the University of Miami with a broad set of duties that may expand based on departmental needs.
