Job Summary
Install, service, modify, rebuild, and repair air-conditioning and refrigeration systems in industrial or commercial establishments. Perform periodic inspections to locate equipment malfunctions, conduct maintenance programs to prevent failure, and charge systems with refrigerant while checking for leaks. Fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork; overhaul equipment, and service centralized HVAC computer systems by making program corrections. Troubleshoot programming loops, adjust controls, and utilize CMMS software to create and complete maintenance work orders. Work 4/10 (4 days a week/10 hour a day) on the 2nd shift (3:00pm-1:30am) under the supervision of the Controls Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 4 years of HVAC, Chillers, Cooling Tower, Plumbing and Mechanical Systems
- Valid California State driver's license or must acquire a California driver's license within 30 days from the time of hire
- EPA 608 Universal License or HVAC Certification
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
- Ability to work 4/10 (4 days a week/10 hour a day) 2nd shift (3:00pm-1:30am)
- U.S. Citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- General knowledge of building management systems including Distech, Honeywell, Johnson, and Staefa controls systems (DDC, AC and pneumatics)
- Thorough knowledge of site(s)
- Advanced training of Niagara 4 certification
- Chiller and cooling Tower experience
- Experience working with building management systems/environmental controls
- Aerospace/Defense Industry experience
- Industrial equipment experience
