HVAC Mechanic (Journeyperson)

HVAC Mechanic (Journeyperson) position with Johnson Controls in the Greater Toronto Area. Responsibilities include performing preventative and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and HVAC/mechanical systems, troubleshooting and repair, monitoring/building automation system (BAS) performance, reading blueprints/schematics, coordinating with site-based maintenance teams, and ensuring safety, quality, and client service standards. The role requires experience in operating facilities (preferably healthcare environments), ability to work independently, strong communication skills, willingness to work flexible shifts, on-call/standby as needed, and adherence to environmental, health and safety policies. Preferred Metasys knowledge and HVAC/electrical knowledge are assets; candidates must be able to wear PPE, lift 50 lbs., and work on ladders. Regular duties include maintaining logs, assisting with PM programs, and collaborating with subcontractors to ensure asset uptime and client satisfaction.
