HVAC Mechanic II - 7:30a-4p - Wilmington

Operate, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning equipment at ChristianaCare's Wilmington and Christiana Hospitals, including steam/hot water heating, chilled water and direct expansion cooling, ice machines, walk-in refrigerators/freezers, and related systems. Maintain pneumatic/electronic temperature/humidity control systems (thermostats, valves, dampers, transmitters, controllers, sensors) and chillers for comfort or process cooling (including cooling towers). Respond to equipment complaints and emergencies (power failures, fire alarms); maintain clean, safe work areas; assist in training HVAC apprentice mechanics; follow safety procedures; read blueprints/schematics. Requires ability to perform physically strenuous tasks (climbing, ladder work, heavy equipment) and obtain EPA certifications and respiratory clearance.
