Job Summary
HVAC Mechanic will be responsible for all preventative maintenance and repair on site HVAC systems, diagnosing causes of problems, performing routine maintenance, repairing components (pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping, etc.), inspecting systems to evaluate condition and recommend preventive maintenance, and installing heating and air conditioning equipment to provide upgraded capabilities. Requires EPA Universal Refrigerant certification, Journeyman or Master HVAC license, high school diploma or equivalent, fit testing for a respirator, US citizenship, and a clean background with potential government clearance. Location includes Clinton, MD with occasional work in Springfield, VA; standard weekday schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years HVAC and associated equipment experience at commercial, industrial, or government facilities
- EPA Universal Refrigerant certification
- Journeyman or Master HVAC License
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Fit tested for a respirator
- US Citizenship
- Background clearance for government work
- Experience at a Government facility is a plus
