Job Summary
Updates work statuses and documents tasks completed in the CMMS using a mobile device. Cleans, lubricates, services, repairs, and diagnoses malfunction of HVAC, electrical, mechanical building systems, sterilizers, food service equipment, sprinkler systems, transport systems, fire alarm systems, and similar plant and specialty equipment. Assists in making decisions on all repairs, reviews outside vendor projects to create punch lists, and responds to emergency problems to make emergency repairs as needed. Maintains logs, performs rounds, completes P.M. work orders, tests, and inspections, and makes recommendations for modification or improvement of preventive maintenance systems. Supports project management activity as needed and maintains shops and mechanical areas in a clean and safe manner. This 1st shift role (7am to 3:30pm M-F) is with Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company providing specialized support services to the healthcare industry across 46 states.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance subject area
- Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds and kneel/bend/stoop and perform strenuous labor for extended periods of time
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- HVAC certification or license highly preferred
- Experience working with blueprints and schematics
- A general understanding of electro-mechanical equipment
- Rudimentary ability to apply hand-operated construction equipment
