HVAC Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Conduct high-quality maintenance on single-family rental homes by completing service requests, performing proactive ProCare visits, and executing repairs in vacant properties. Schedule follow-up visits through the mobile app, complete associated checklists, and educate residents on home systems and expectations. Perform general repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC while adhering to safety guidelines and using company-supplied tools. Review technician reports for improvement opportunities and complete daily property condition assessments to alert management of urgent items. Maintain proper equipment and vehicles, ensuring all work is documented and scheduled efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-5+ years' proven experience in residential repairs and maintenance, other building maintenance or related experience
- OSHA 10 is required
- Must possess a current driver's license
- Must possess automobile insurance
- Must possess any other licenses and/or certification as required by state law
- Ability to be at work on a regular and consistent basis including occasional weekends and holidays
- Ability to provide basic hand and power tools
- Ability to lift and/or move an excess of 50 pounds or more
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent climbing, reaching, use of fingers, stooping, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, lifting, talking, and hearing
Desired Qualifications
- EPA Certification: Type I, Type II, and/or EPA Universal
- HVAC Certification
- CPO certification (pool)
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Multi-lingual
- Comfortability using mobile devices (i.e. iPad and/or iPhone) and various mobile applications
- Understanding of residential construction and mechanical systems
- Ability to perform general repairs in plumbing
- Ability to perform general repairs in electrical
- Ability to perform general repairs in carpentry
- Ability to perform general repairs in sheetrock
- Ability to perform general repairs in exterior structural
- Ability to perform general repairs in HVAC (minor)
- Ability to perform general repairs in appliances
