Job Summary
Maintenance Supervisor II at Island Palm Communities in Wahiawa, HI oversees day-to-day operations, quality control, and staff development; trains and coaches technicians, coordinates scheduling and workload, and manages subcontractors to ensure timely completion of work requests. Participates in hire, termination, and performance management in coordination with DOM and HR; participates in on-call rotation as a supervisor. Requires HVAC experience, strong customer service, and the ability to coordinate training, truck stock inventories, and various coordinators (COM, service orders). Works at a federal facility with REAL ID access requirements and standard hours plus a rotating on-call schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- 3 - 5 years of required work experience.
- Must have experience in HVAC.
- Less than 1 year of required supervisory experience. Every employee must have a current vehicle license in good standing and meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
- General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and appliances.
- Experience with computer systems, particularly Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Availability for on-call activity during off-hours for urgent needs.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to supervise and work with a diverse group of people and personalities.
- This position is located at a federal facility. In accordance with the REAL ID Act, effective May 7, 2025, a REAL ID compliant driver's license/ID is required in order to access the federal facility.

- Vocational or Technical training.
- Carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC or appliance certifications.
