Job Summary
HVAC Lead Install Technician leading installation, upgrade, and replacement of residential HVAC systems, supervising a team of technicians, handling complex installs, ensuring safety and standards, delivering strong customer service, training helpers, managing tools and inventory, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Requires EPA certification, valid driver’s license, 1+ year HVAC experience, and strong troubleshooting, communication, and leadership abilities. Must lift heavy objects, work in attics/crawlspaces, and adapt to extreme weather; benefits include weekly pay, PTO, health benefits, and growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of HVAC experience, ideally residential
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Holds valid EPA certification
- Advanced troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Proactive and enthusiastic approach with commitment to high-quality work
- Exceptional customer service and ability to address client needs
- Professional interaction with individuals at all levels within the organization
- Flexible and innovative, thrives in dynamic environments and collaborates well with others
- Able to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to drive
- Experience with installing, upgrading, and replacing HVAC systems in residential homes
- Ability to cut, thread, and connect pipes (copper or PVC) and handle high and low voltage wiring
- Ability to train and mentor Install Helpers on job sites and in the shop
- Ability to work safely at heights, in tight spaces (attics), and under various weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit; communicate effectively
- Ability to use hand tools and perform fine detail work
- Regular exposure to extreme temperatures indoors and outdoors
