Job Summary
Set up and operate HVAC test equipment and instrumentation according to documented procedures. Conduct performance, reliability, and safety tests on HVAC units and components while applying electrical troubleshooting and wiring skills. Perform routine maintenance and calibration of lab instruments, sensors, and test benches. Record, analyze, and report test data accurately in compliance with lab standards. Assist in diagnosing issues with units under test and lab systems while maintaining cleanliness and safety protocols. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure test integrity and provide technical feedback to improve product performance.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or an equivalent combination of, education and experience
- Good oral and written communications skills
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision, technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in HVAC, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field
- 2 years of experience in HVAC testing, electrical troubleshooting, or technical maintenance work
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, controls, and instrumentation
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and test procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
