Job Summary
Perform service of equipment including inspecting, testing, and repairing commercial HVAC systems such as chillers, rooftop units, and boilers. Conduct intermediate and advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, pipefitting, and brazing while maintaining and rebuilding units. Educate customers on proper equipment use and maintain all required certifications and safety protocols. Record billing, inventory, and timecards as required. Maintain a clean work area and complete hazard assessments before initiating service.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates Degree or technical school
- HVAC certification
- 5+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Accepted as Journeyman by the union
- Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
- Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district
- Rotational Emergency Call Support availability as required
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in mentoring less experienced technicians
- EPA approved Universal Technician Certification
- OSHA 10 certification
- Current first aid / CPR card
