Job Summary
Perform service on commercial and industrial equipment including rooftop units, chillers, and boilers by inspecting, testing, and repairing defective components. Conduct intermediate diagnostics, troubleshooting, pipefitting, and brazing while maintaining standards and safety policies. Lead rebuild and retrofit projects, directing apprentices through hands-on demonstrations. Educate customers on proper equipment use and maintain billing, inventory, and timecard records. Download programs into controllers and analyze chiller trend data to ensure optimal performance. Complete jobsite hazard assessments and participate in regional training modules.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates Degree or technical school
- HVAC certification
- 5+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Accepted as Journeyman by the union
- Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
- Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district
- Rotational Emergency Call Support availability as required
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in mentoring less experienced technicians
- EPA approved Universal Technician Certification
- OSHA 10 certification
- Current first aid / CPR card
