Job Summary
Forecast inventory needs in collaboration with operations, procurement, and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels and support profitability. Analyze inventory data to identify patterns, validate records, and investigate root causes of discrepancies. Strategically plan replenishment orders, optimize inventory management procedures, and reduce carrying costs while tracking key performance indicators such as inventory turnover, stockout rates, and forecasting accuracy. Utilize advanced Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems like SAP or NetSuite to present insights and refine daily efficiency strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a field like statistics, data analytics, business analytics, supply chain management, or industrial engineering
- 3+ years of experience in inventory, operations, or supply chain analytics
- Advanced Excel proficiency, with knowledge of macros, pivot tables, and Power Query
- Exceptional data analysis skills and comfort with statistics
- Analytical problem-solving abilities
- Working knowledge of inventory management and supply chain methodologies
- Ability to use visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) to present data insights
- Comfort using inventory management software and an ERP system like SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
- Must have the ability to pass a background check
